2 Column Forum Layout

Allows you to show your forums in a 2 column layout, rather than 1 long list.

Not enough for a full proper MOD, but too useful not to share

Hello All,

I tried your interesting guide on how to have forum list on two column (only resource on this matter...)
I just wondering if it works with the last phpbb3 version.
I made all instruction and the forum list is displayed on two column as should be but....the only forum category set is displayed many time (20!!!!).
Maybe I did somethiong wrong.

Here is the forum I'm triyng to set-up:

www.123ristoranti.it/forum

As you can see the category is repeated many times.........
Ifsomeone could suggest me something I'd appreciate very much....

Many thanks...

Hi teidbuc and welcome to the site :)

I haven't tried this on the latest versions of phpBB, so I'm not sure if it works or not. As 3.0.6 was quite a large update, it's possible that some things may have changed and the code posted will need to be updated. I myself am not not going to be around much over the holiday period, but hopefully someone else may be able to give you a hand. If I do get some spare time, I will try my best to look into this. It's bee on my todo list for a while, just haven't been able to get to it yet :)

I have a phpBB 3.0.6 and would love to have this on my forum, does it work on 3.0.6?

Ok, I have just tested this on a fresh install of 3.0.6 and it works without a hitch. There's only 2 things that you need to watch out for - style changes to forumlist_body.html from 3.0.3 to 3.0.6 and you need to make sure you have an even number of forums. An odd number of forums make it look strange.

For anyone not able to get it working, make sure you are running the latest version of phpBB and make sure that your style is prosilver based / as near to prosilver as possible. I realise that there is a sS2 code posted, but I will not troubleshoot that sorry ;)

2 Column Forum Layout

Postby Greyhound76 » 06 May 2010, 10:20

Hi all,

I use the subsilver2 style and I have installed the snippet. How can I insert NV advanced last topic titles with the mod? I've tried, but to me it does not succeed.

PS: Sorry for my terrible English.
