phpBB is a popular Internet forum package written in the PHP programming language. The name "phpBB" is an abbreviation of PHP Bulletin Board
My adventure into phpBB started back in 2004 when I was looking add a forum to my website (my website dabbling actually started around 7 or 8 years earlier :P)
After a few months of installing/breaking/fixing MODs (Modifications to the forum software) for phpBB2, I began to create my own based on user requests
My experience working with the phpBB code base grew over time and lead me to create more extensive MODs and be more adventurous with the code (doing a lot of personal customisations to my personal sites).
Shortly before the arrival of phpBB3, I was invited to join the Moderation Team which I have been a part of since October 3rd 2007
Since August 2007, I have shifted to working more with phpBB3, which I have now excellent experience with - from working with and modifying the code base, styling (both CSS and HTML) and moderating/administering on both a small and large scale
Feel free to view my profile here - cherokee red - you need to be logged in to see this however.
You can view my posting history here and I've included a screenshot of my profile below.

Trivia: cherokee red used to be the name of a music project I had during college - taken from a song by a band called Brandtson. I can't change my username on phpBB.com, so it's stuck with me :)
As well as Web Design, I also like to dabble in a bit of graphic design when I get the chance. Most of the graphic work I have done is mainly logo's for website.
I have good experience with various image editing programs e.g.
• Adobe Photoshop CS
• Paint Shop Pro
• The Gimp
Most of the images that you see on the websites I mentioned before, were created by myself - more-so the header images
For more examples of my graphic work, feel free to browse the dedicated Styles & Graphics forum on this site. You can find it here => Styles & Graphics
Forum icons were taken from The Icon Archive
Icons used in header images are also from The Icon Archive
(Tracker forums, MODs Catalog and Portfolio)

These websites are ones I have set up for commercial companies.
Wattston Bonsai
Wattston Bonsai is an online store for Airdrie based Dougie Smith, for his bonsai trees, accessories and custom made display tables. The site is powered by CubeCart and hosts an image galley and Workshops/Announcements section.
The style was heavily customised by myself, with the header image made from scratch.

ALS Couriers
ALS Couriers is Glasgow based courier company run by Alex Sneddon. The website is powered entirely by the phpBB framework, making extensive use of it's session integration and MODifications from the community.
The style is largely CSS based, making changes very easy. All graphics, apart from some forum images, were created my myself.

These websites are my own projects that I have set up of various reasons.
6 String Romance
6 String Romance a site I set up for a music project I am working on. As well as web design, I also write and record my own material - mainly just me and my acoustic guitar.
The website is powered by the phpBB framework and is heavily customised - both frontend and backend. Most images were custom made by myself
It has went through 1 major style change since it's official launch last year, but is still considered a work in progress - there a re a few backend modules still to be completed.

6 String MODs
6 String MODs again utilizes the phpBB framework, but the emphasis on this site is with the customised styling using CSS. All pages on this site should validate XHTML 1.0 Strict.
The idea behind the site is to promote the customisation I do the phpBB. Available for download are MODs, Code Snippets and Graphics that I have made to enhance the phpBB experience. Most have been made by user request.

These are some examples of sites that I have set up for family members / close friends.
Leah-Henderson Wedding
Leah-Henderson is another phpBB based site, created as a wedding present for a friend. The site is a stripped down version of phpBB with customised header graphics and style.
The integrated gallery hosts pictures from the wedding day, along with pictures that I personally took myself
